BPH is not prescriptive. We do not assume all black Houstonians share the same charitable interests. Where we have common goals, we’ll explore ways to achieve greater impact.
Do you make contributions or grants to nonprofit organizations?
No.
What will BPH do?
- Create space for black donors to connect and learn from each other
- Educate on leadership and community needs and how to prioritize these needs as targets of philanthropy
- Help direct resources to issues affecting Houston’s black community
- Spark new thinking about ways to disrupt cycles that cause the same problems
Who is the target audience?
Business and civic leaders, entrepreneurs, influencers, and nonprofit and corporate board members that want to:
- Connect, learn, and partner with other black givers/donors
- Address issues affecting Houston’s black communities
- Challenge orthodoxies and assumptions
